HOW DOES IT WORK?
Players must register and pay a membership fee of $100.00 to join the program. WCFA will supply all equipment needed for the season except for practice jerseys, socks and football cleats. Equipment must then be returned at the end of the season. Players will be provided with a Team shirt and a participation award to keep and cherish. All games will be played in the surrounding areas (Fresno, Clovis, Sanger and Madera). Game times are usually Saturday in the afternoons or later with all home games to be played at Central Unified football fields. Season begins July 28 and finishes in the beginning of November. General Admission will be charged at each football game. Games are full tackle, officiated by CIF certified officials (except Pee Wee division), 4 quarters (8 minutes per quarter) and are governed by high school rules. Practice is generally 3 days a week 2 hours a day. In order to get the required amount of conditioning, all teams practice five days a week 2 hours a day for the first five weeks. Teams will be in full game uniform and must weigh in at the halftime of the previous game. Every player will get play time during the season (*guaranteed play time). WCFA believes in promoting good sportsmanship by having parents, players and coaches sign a code of conduct contract. We believe that parents should play a big part in their child’s triumphs and miscues.
*Note: This rule does not guarantee play time for each game. Discipline, medical or safety issues are highly considered when allowing play time.
